I love chocolate cupcakes. In my opinion, chocolcate cupcakes are just about the perfect treat. Covered with a gooey layer of a variety of frostings or icings, you just can’t beat a moist, fresh, warm chocolate cupcake. Try mocha frosting, or a rich vanilla buttercream, mint, orange, or rasberry. It’s a treat, a reward, a magic food that will help you get through most minor crises. You’ll find a variety of chocolate cupcake recipes here, as well as advice and links I’ve gathered to help you bake perfect chocolate cucpcakes. Also, I’m not one of those bakers who subscribe to the ‘use a box cake mix as a starter’ so if you’re too lazy to mix together flour, baking powder, salt and sugar, well, you might want to look elsewhere. Box mixes just don’t cut it.

My mother taught me to cook and bake starting when I was about 9. I’ve been baking and cooking for the last 45 years. There’s nothing more satisfying than baking something that makes your loved ones and friends happy.
